Punjab government has ordered that lockdown be kept in the state till March 31 against coronavirus. Meanwhile, Amritsar administration is also tightening the city completely. Police have blocked all entry points to Amritsar city. People are not being allowed to enter the city without work, nor are they allowed to leave the city. The police have allowed the movement only to those concerned with medical services while the rest are being repatriated.
Most people in Amritsar are in their homes, yet the people who are leaving the house are being thoroughly investigated by the police. Apart from this, the vegetable market is only open at the medical store hospital grocery stores in Amritsar where people are returning to their homes with the necessary goods.
