In view of the horrors of the coronavirus in Punjab, the Captain Government has entrusted special responsibilities to Sarpanchs, Nambadars, Ward Councilors and watchmen. The government has said that the Sarpanch, Nambardar, Ward Counselor and Chowkidar will inform the police of any victim in the area. In addition, the suspects are missing, the police will also be informed. There may be prosecutions against those who do not. He said that all cases, including missing cases, should be re-examined.

The nearest police station / outpost should be notified immediately by the Sarpanch / Nambardar / Ward Counselor / Watchman. At the same time, he warned that those who did not give information would be punished. Avtar Singh, the chief secretary, said that a sticker must be pasted outside the houses of Quarantine to keep the neighbors safe and informed. Suspected people should have a health check-up on a daily basis and quarantine should be applied when needed.

Punjab government has ordered that lockdown be kept in the state till March 31 against coronavirus. Meanwhile, Amritsar administration is also tightening the city completely. The police have allowed the movement only to those concerned with medical services while the rest are being repatriated.
